Terms of Use for Pixel Code Journey: The Spark Kingdom
Last updated: 7 October 2026
These terms are between you (the parent, carer or other adult who downloads the game) and [YOUR NAME OR COMPANY] ("we", "us"), [POSTAL ADDRESS]. By installing or playing Pixel Code Journey: The Spark Kingdom you agree to them. If you download the game from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies, and Apple is not responsible for the game or for any support or claims about it.
1. The game
Pixel Code Journey: The Spark Kingdom is an educational game for young children. A free part of the game is available to everyone. A one-time purchase ("the full game") unlocks more levels and characters on the store account that bought it. It is not a subscription, and there are no other purchases, ads or paid extras.
2. Grown-ups are responsible
The game is meant to be used by children with a parent or carer's permission. Purchases and settings sit behind a question for grown-ups. Please supervise screen time as you see fit.
3. Purchases and refunds
Purchases are made through Apple or Google and follow their payment and refund rules:
- Apple: https://reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google Play: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637
We cannot issue store refunds ourselves. If a refund is given, the full game locks again. Use Restore purchase in the shop to unlock it again on a new or reset device signed in to the same store account. Nothing here limits any rights you have under your local consumer laws (for example South Africa's Consumer Protection Act, or EU and UK consumer law).
4. Licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the game on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, rent or modify the game, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.
5. Ownership
The game, its name, characters, artwork, music, levels and code belong to [YOUR NAME OR COMPANY] or our licensors. Open-source parts are used under their own licences, listed in the game under Settings → About → Licences.
6. Educational purpose, no guarantee
The game is designed to introduce early coding ideas through play. We don't promise any particular learning outcome. The game is provided "as is", and we don't promise it will always be free of bugs or available. Save data is stored only on the device and may be lost if the app is deleted or the device is reset.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the game. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Changes
We may update the game and these terms. If a change matters, we'll update the date above. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without taking away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
