Privacy Policy for Pixel Code Journey: The Spark Kingdom
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Pixel Code Journey: The Spark Kingdom ("the game") is made by [YOUR NAME OR COMPANY] ("we", "us"). It is a game for young children (about ages 4 to 5) that teaches early coding ideas. We built it to collect as little as possible: we do not collect, see or store any personal information about you or your child.
The short version
- No accounts, logins, names, email addresses, photos, voice or location.
- No advertising, no ad tracking, and no analytics.
- No chat, no social features, and no links out of the game for children.
- Game progress (stickers, levels, chosen hero, sound on/off) stays only on the device.
- The only time any data leaves the device is when a grown-up buys or restores the one-time "full game" unlock. That is handled by Apple or Google, with RevenueCat checking the receipt (see below).
What is stored on the device
The game saves on the device itself:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Levels finished, stickers earned, chosen hero, which areas have been seen | So your child can carry on where they left off |
| Sound on or off | Your setting |
| Whether the full game is unlocked | So the game works offline after buying |
None of this is sent to us. Settings → Reset game (behind the grown-ups question) deletes all progress. Uninstalling the app deletes everything. If your phone's own backup is on (for example Android or iCloud backup), your phone may include this save in its backup. That backup is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, not by us.
Buying the full game
The game is free to play with an optional one-time purchase that unlocks the rest of the game. There are no subscriptions and nothing else to buy. Purchases sit behind a grown-ups question so that children can't reach them by accident.
- Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your name, email, card number or bank details.
- RevenueCat, our purchase service provider, checks with Apple or Google that the purchase is real, so that the unlock works and can be restored on a new device. To do this, RevenueCat receives:
- a random ID created for this installation, which is not linked to your name or to any other app;
- the purchase receipt (which product was bought, when, price and currency, and whether it was refunded);
- basic technical details that come with any internet request (app version, device type, operating system version, country and language settings, and IP address).
- On Android, the purchase service may keep that random ID in Google's secure on-device backup ("Block Store") so that the unlock can be found again after reinstalling.
- We do not use RevenueCat or anything else to track, profile, or advertise to anyone, and we do not turn on RevenueCat's advertising or attribution features.
We use this information only to give you the full game you paid for, to restore it, and to handle refunds. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else.

Children's privacy
The game is made for children, and we follow children's privacy laws, including the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU and UK GDPR, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children cannot make purchases, change settings or leave the game without first answering a question meant for grown-ups.
The random purchase ID described above is used only to support the internal operation of the game: confirming and restoring a purchase. It is never used to contact anyone, build a profile, advertise or track anyone across other apps or websites. Under COPPA, this use doesn't need parental consent.
The web version and our website
If you play in a web browser, progress is saved in that browser's storage on your device. The web version has no purchases and sends no information to us or to RevenueCat.
Our website ([your-domain]) has no cookies, analytics, ads or trackers, and loads nothing from other companies. Our website host may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security for a short time.
How long we keep information
We keep no information about you ourselves. RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as they are needed to provide restores and for tax and accounting rules. You can ask us to have them deleted (see below). Deleting them may mean a purchase cannot be restored automatically.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information exists about you or your child, and to have it corrected or deleted. Because we don't know who you are, include your store order number (Apple receipt or Google Play order ID) in your request so we can find the matching purchase record. Write to [CONTACT EMAIL]. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in South Africa: the Information Regulator, https://inforegulator.org.za).
Changes to this policy
If the game changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live. We will never start collecting personal information from children without first asking for a parent's verifiable consent as the law requires.
